Lovely San Francisco
Tuesday 1st July, 2003Aeii, I got to san fran. This place is a little nasty. There was a shooting on the street next to us yesterday, and there are bums all over the place begging for money. The town always rings with the sound of fire engines and cop cars (Exact look alike from police academy).
We found a club that plays ganster rap n stuff like that. The whole place was bout 95% black dudes. The other place we went, was to a regee bar, and the place was pretty dimmly lit, and it reaked of Pot.
The bars and clubs are really tight on getting their tips, regaurdless of how poor/good their service is. I forgot twice and they were hasseling me for a buck. I was warned that I would become 'invisable'. I think I would of been looking for another bar in that case.
The bars here have really specific liquor licencing, and most bars only serve beers, wines and soft drink. It took us ages to find a place that served bourbon and coke.
Ah, the other weird thing here, is that you can bring your pets into the bars, there were dogs in the night clubs and bars everywhere. All the bars also close at 2am, so theres absolutly no night life after that, and the town dies {hense while i'm making this post now}.
Any ways, were getting a tour of san fran from a local tomorrow, so that should be good.
