Windows on Macs
Saturday 25th March, 2006
The unthinkable has happened. You can now dual-boot windows on a mac. This is great news for mac users that need to use a windows-only programme. This doesn't happen very often. Pretty much every application you'll ever need is available on a mac. And whilst there will be less choice the few options available are excellent and in my opinion superior to any Windows application. I still have not found a text editor better than TextWrangler or TextMate.
But occasionally you need a windows app. But dual-booting isn't that great. In fact it's down right annoying. The day we can run a Windows app in a Virtual PC like application will be great day for mac users. Ironically Microsoft owns Virtual PC and it's unknown whether they are working on an Intel Mac version.
