NASA announced recently that within 2 decades they will have a team of astronauts living and working on the moon in a permanent moon base.
Now the announcement itself is great I think, but it got me thinking why has it taken so long?
NASA first landed a man on the moon in the 1969 with Neil Armstrong. Since then nothing has really happened (in regards to the moon, I know the mars exploration has been progressing, albeit slowly). Anyway my point is NASA's behind the times!! We should all be taking holidays to the moon by now if all the sci-fi movies ever made can be trusted (and we all know movies never lie ;) )
